Joshua White will be taking the lead at the Jazz Camp Scholarship Jam, on March 18th. Just in case you don’t know it, Joshua took second place in the Thelonius Monk Competition this year (the Olympics of Jazz, essentially). Don’t miss him playing with other alumni and instructors while supporting music education in San Diego.

Our two-day course equips students with a basic set of handy communicative tools for comfortable interaction with the locals. Travel tips, cultural aspects, regional characteristics, and social protocol and customs are also presented. Courses are all taught in English, and no previous knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is required to participate. A phrasebook is provided that acts as a word two-way dictionary and a pocket guide to the business, customs and etiquette of the country.
